  2. Heat oven to 425u0b0F.
  3. In a paper bag, mix flour, salt, pepper and paprika.
  4. Place shortening and butter in a 13 x 9-inch oblong pan and set in oven to melt.
  5. Shake three-four pieces of chicken at a time in paper bag to coat thoroughly; reserve dredging mixture.
  6. Place chicken, skin side down, in a single layer in hot shortening/butter mixture.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, then turn.
  8. Biscuits:.
  9. Meanwhile, make dough for biscuits. Sift together 2 cups flour, baking powder and salt.
  10. Add shortening and milk and cut in finely.
  11. Round up on a lightly floured cloth-covered board.
  12. Knead lightly (about 30 seconds).
  13. Roll or pat out to 1/4-inch thickness.
  14. Cut into biscuits.
  15. Assembly:.
  16. Drain peach halves and place a whole clove in each.
  17. After turning chicken, push to one end in pan.
  18. Place biscuits in a single layer on the other end of the pan.
  19. Place peach halves on chicken.
  20. Bake for another 15 minutes or until biscuits are lightly browned and chicken is tender.
  21. To Make Gravy:.
  22. Remove chicken, peaches and biscuits to serving platter.
  23. Add 2 tbs. flour (reserved from dredging mixture) to pan drippings.
  24. Bring to a boil.
  25. Add about 1 1/2 cups milk and boil for one minute.
