Luscious Lime Pie

  1. In top of
  2. double
  3. boiler soften gelatin in cold water. Add dash
  4. of
  5. salt
  6. and egg yolks; cook and stir over hot (not boiling)
  7. water
  8. until mixture is slightly thick.
  9. Remove from heat
  10. and
  11. stir in concentrate.
  12. Chill, stirring occasionally, until
  13. mixture
  14. mounds slightly when spooned.
  15. Beat egg whites until
  16. soft peaks form.
  17. Gradually add sugar, beating to stiff peaks.
  18. Fold
  19. in gelatin mixture, then whipped cream.
  20. Add few drops
  21. green
  22. foodtoloring.
  23. Pile
  24. into cooled pastry shell. Chill until
  25. firm.top with whipped cream and lime slices and pomegranate seed (optional).
  26. Makes 1 pie.
