Irresistible Brownies
- 3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. or 2 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels, divided
- 1/2 c. nuts, chopped (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- In 2 1/2 to 3-quart saucepan over low heat, melt butter.
- Remove from heat.
- Add sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt, eggs and vanilla.
- Stir with spoon until batter is well blended and smooth.
- Stir in 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet morsels and nuts if desired.
- Spread in 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup morsels.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until set.
- Cool on wire rack.
- Cut into 2-inch squares.
