Crab Imperial(Governor'S Mansion In Annapolis, Maryland)

  1. Remove all cartilage from crabmeat.
  2. In medium size pan, melt margarine or butter.
  3. Mix in flour.
  4. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly to keep mixture smooth and free from lumps.
  5. Cook, stirring, over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.
  6. Mix in onion, Worcestershire sauce and bread cubes. Cool.
  7. Fold in mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
