Oven Tostada
- 1 lb. low-fat ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. taco seasoning mix
- 1 c. water or beef broth
- 1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
- 1 (8 oz.) can crescent dinner rolls
- 3/4 lb. medium sharp cheese, grated
- 1 small can mild green chili peppers
- 1 (10 oz.) bag corn chips, crushed
- shredded lettuce (optional)
- diced tomatoes (optional)
- sliced ripe olives (optional)
- hot sauce (optional)
- sour cream (optional)
- grated sharp cheese (optional)
- Brown ground beef with onion; drain well.
- Add taco seasoning, water and refried beans.
- Press crescent rolls into 7 1/2 x 11 3/4-inch greased casserole dish, forming a crust.
- Layer crushed corn chips over crust.
- Pour ground beef mixture on top.
- Cover with grated cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Cut into squares; serve with condiments of your choice on top.
- Serves 8.
