Cran-Apple Crisp
- 3 c. apple slices
- 1 -10 oz. can whole cranberry sauce
- 1/2 tsp. grated orange rind
- 1 c. quick oats (oatmeal)
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- dash of salt
- 1/3 c. margarine or butter
- vanilla ice cream
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Peel, core, and slice apples, then combine with cranberry sauce and orange rind; set aside.
- Mix together oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt; cut in margarine or butter until crumbly mixture forms.
- Press a third of the mixture over bottom of greased 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan.
- Spread with fruit, then top with remaining oat mixture.
- Bake 45 minutes or until brown.
- Serve warm with ice cream.
- Makes 9 servings.
