Indonesian Spice Chicken(Also Good With Pork Chops)
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. crushed dried red pepper
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) fryer chicken, cut up
- Combine onion, garlic, oil, lemon juice, red pepper, ginger and black pepper.
- Place chicken into plastic bag in deep bowl. Add marinade.
- Tie bag closed.
- Refrigerate several hours.
- Drain and reserve marinade.
- Pat chicken dry.
- Place on grill, bone side down over medium hot coals.
- Grill 30 to 35 minutes.
- Turn often and brush with marinade.
- (May be baked in 350u0b0 oven until meat is tender.
- I leave marinade with meat when baking in oven.)
