Pastichio Me Crema Salsa - Macaroni And Meat Casserole

  1. Saute onion in a little water in a large frying pan; add ground beef and brown.
  2. (Pour off excess grease, if any.)
  3. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt, pepper and dash of cinnamon.
  4. Dissolve tomato paste in the 1/2 cup water, then add to hamburger mixture.
  5. Lower flame and simmer for about 15 minutes or until water is absorbed.
  6. Set aside.
  7. In another large saucepan, put water and 2 teaspoons salt; bring to a boil.
  8. Add macaroni and boil for about 10 minutes or until done.
  9. While macaroni is boiling, combine 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup butter, 3/4 cup of the Romano cheese, 1 tablespoon flour and the beaten eggs.
  10. When macaroni is cooked, drain and put back in saucepan and add mixture.
  11. Toss lightly; put aside.
  12. Make Crema.
