Italian Meatballs
- 1 1/4 lb. ground meat or 1 lb. ground meat plus 1/4 lb. ground pork
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 heaping Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1 level tsp. parsley flakes
- oil
- 1 jar Prego Plus
- 1 egg
- 2 slices bread
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. minced garlic or sprinkle of garlic powder
- 1 can tomato sauce
- Beat egg.
- Add meat.
- Take 2 slices bread and cut the crust off.
- Tear the bread in little pieces and add to 1/2 cup milk just as it comes to a boil.
- Remove from heat and beat the bread with a fork until it is smooth; let cool.
- Add the following to the ground meat:
- salt, onion, garlic and parsley.
- Now add the cooled bread and milk mixture.
- Mix with hands until well blended.
- Add a little oil.
- Make meatballs and fry until brown.
- Add to spaghetti sauce.
