Almond Swirl Ring
- 1 c. milk
- 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 to 4 c. all-purpose flour, divided
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. ground almonds
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. milk or water
- candied cherry halves
- whole blanched almonds, toasted
- 1 pkg. frozen dinner rolls (approximately 24)
- 1 stick oleo
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 pkg. butterscotch pudding/pie mix
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- Preheat oven
- to
- 350u0b0.
- Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan well. Arrange rolls
- in
- pan.
- Mix remaining ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to
- a
- boil, stirring frequently.
- Add 1 to 2 cups pecan pieces
- (to
- your
- taste).
- Drizzle
- mixture over frozen rolls. Cover
- with
- tinfoil
- which has been sprayed with oil. Cover with a towel.
- Let rise at room temperature overnight or 7 hours. Grease
- a
- 9
- x
- 13-inch pan.
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0. Bake 25 minutes.
- Tip out upside-down on serving tray.
