Milder Shrimp Creole

  1. In a large skillet, Saute onion, celery and garlic in the shortening until tender.
  2. Add stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce, salt, sugar, worcestshire sauce and chili powder.
  3. Simmer uncovered for 45 minutes.
  4. Combine cornstarch and water and add to skillet mixture to thicken.
  5. After it has thickened, add shrimp and bell pepper.
  6. Cover and simmer 10-15 minutes.
  7. Serve over White Minute Rice.
