Five-Spice Hoisin Ribs With Scallions (Green Onions)

  1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees F.
  2. Rub the ribs with five-spice powder, salt and pepper.
  3. Divide between 2 roasting pans (non stick preferably).
  4. Cover tightly with foil and cook for 1 hour.
  5. To make the sauce, heat oil over med. heat and stir fry ginger and garlic.
  6. Add remaining sauce ingredients.
  7. Remove ribs from oven and mix very well with sauce.
  8. Return to oven and cook, covered, for about 30 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and finish cooking for another 30 minutes.
  10. Meat should be very, very tender.
  11. Garnish with scallions.
