Irish Bread

  1. Heat oven to 400u0b0.
  2. Lightly grease an 8-inch spring-form pan. In large bowl, combine 2 1/4 cups flour, sugar, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt.
  3. With pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until coarse crumbs form.
  4. Fold in currants.
