Pizza Casserole
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper (optional)
- 15 oz. can pizza sauce
- 4 oz. can undrained mushrooms
- 1 1/2 tsp. crushed oregano
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 c. rotini pasta (spirals)
- 2/3 c. milk
- 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese
- In large skillet, brown ground beef, onions and green peppers. Drain off excess grease.
- Stir in pizza sauce, mushrooms, crushed oregano and garlic powder.
- Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Cook rotini according to package directions and drain well. Combine rotini with milk.
- When thoroughly mixed, stir in pizza sauce mixture.
- Grate cheese (2 cups).
- In lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish, layer meat and sauce mixture and cheese. Repeat layers.
- Top with cheese.
- Bake, covered, at 350u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
