Dole Golden Layer Cake

  1. Combine undrained pineapple, whipped topping and pudding mix; let stand 5 minutes.
  2. Cut cake lengthwise in thirds.
  3. Drizzle with liqueur.
  4. Spread one-third pudding mixture over bottom layer of cake.
  5. Top with second layer.
  6. Repeat layering, ending with pudding.
  7. Chill 30 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle with toasted sliced almonds; garnish with pineapple slices, if desired.
  9. Serves 12.
