Potato Cheese Loaf

  1. Combine in pan:
  2. milk, cheese, salt, sugar and butter.
  3. Heat until cheese melts.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in potato flakes.
  5. Cool to lukewarm.
  6. In large mixing bowl, sprinkle yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar over warm water.
  7. Dissolve, then stir in milk-cheese mixture. Beat in egg.
  8. Beat in flour to make soft sticky dough.
  9. Knead 5 minutes.
  10. Place dough in greased bowl.
  11. Let rise.
  12. Punch down. Knead.
  13. Shape into loaf.
  14. Let rise again until double.
  15. Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
  16. Yields 1 loaf.
