Cornish Hens
- 1 or 2 cornish hens
- 1/3 c. soy sauce
- 1/4 c. vegetable or olive oil
- 3 garlic or garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. ground ginger
- 3 Tbsp. lime juice
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 Tbsp. Italian dressing
- 3 Tbsp. wine
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- Place hens, breast side down in a heavy plastic bag.
- Mix marinade and pour over hens.
- Seal and marinate 8 hours in refrigerator, turning occasionally.
- Remove hens from marinade. Bring marinade to a boil and set aside.
- Place hens breast side up in a lightly greased 13 x 9 pan.
- Bake uncovered at 450u0b0 for 15 minutes, then lower temperature to 400u0b0 for 1 hour or until golden brown and tender.
- Baste with marinade or butter every 15 minutes.
