Fresh Tomato Pizza
- 6 medium, firm tomatoes, sliced thin
- 1 (13 to 16-inch) baked pizza crust
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 (2 1/4 oz.) sliced, ripe olives, drained (optional)
- 1/2 c. diced green pepper
- 1/2 c. diced onion
- 1 Tbsp. chopped, fresh basil or 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
- Place tomato slices in a circle on crust, overlapping slightly, until crust is completely covered.
- Drizzle with olive oil.
- Cover with olives, if desired, green pepper and onion. Sprinkle seasonings over all.
- Cover with cheese.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Serve immediately. Yields 8 servings.
