Meat Loaf Roasted With Cabbage

  1. Remove outer leaves of cabbage.
  2. Cut in fourths and remove stalk.
  3. Break leaves apart and cover bottom of roaster.
  4. Sprinkle with salt; pour a little boiling water over.
  5. Put on cover; set over fire to steam until a little wilted.
  6. Mix and beat meat loaf mixture well.
  7. Form 2 oblong loaves; place on top of cabbage. Place in oven; roast for about 2 hours.
  8. Turn the loaves and stir cabbage occasionally.
