Fruit Cookies

  1. Cream shortening and sugar, add egg and beat well.
  2. Sift dry ingredients together, add dry ingredients and milk to mixture. Add 1/2 cup extra flour to the candied fruits, nuts, raisins and coconut.
  3. Mix until fruit is well coated.
  4. Pour the batter over the fruits.
  5. Add brandy flavoring and mix well.
  6. Drop 1 teaspoon of mixture on a cookie sheet for each cookie.
  7. Bake at 300u0b0 for 12 minutes or until the cookies are a light golden brown.
  8. For decoration, put 1/2 candied cherry on top of each cookie before baking.
