It'S A Winner Chili
- 2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 (18 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 c. chili powder
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 (6 oz.) can beer
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- Sear meat in covered 2-quart pan with vegetable oil. Add tomato sauce, onion and garlic powder. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hour. Stir occasionally. Add water if necessary. Simmer for 30
- more minutes. Serve with a side dish of pinto beans, chopped onions or Cheddar cheese for garnishes. Yield: 10 servings.
