Hot Lettuce Salad
- 1/4 lb. bacon, cut small, then fried
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 egg
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 2/3 c. water
- 2 hard-cooked eggs
- 1 pkg. leaf lettuce, washed and drained
- 1 c. mandarin oranges
- 1 c. pineapple chunks
- 1 c. miniature marshmallows
- 1 c. coconut
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 1/2 c. salad oil
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. grated onion
- 1 can tomato soup (do not dilute)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. m.s.g.
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 c. sugar
- Place 2 cloves of garlic in one cup of vinegar and let it soak for 1 1/2 hours in a large glass jar with top.
- After an hour and a half add the ingredients to this vinegar mixture.
- Put a top on the jar and shake well; place in refrigerator.
- This dressing will keep indefinitely.
