Pistachio Bavarian

  1. Place 1/2 cup milk in small saucepan.
  2. Sprinkle gelatin over milk.
  3. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  4. Cook milk over low heat, stirring occasionally until gelatin is dissolved.
  5. Pour into a large mixing bowl.
  6. Add remaining 1 1/2 cups milk and instant pudding.
  7. Beat with a wire whisk or rotary beater for 2 minutes or until mixture begins to thicken.
  8. Gently fold in thawed whipped topping until blended.
  9. Pour into a 5 cup mold.
  10. Chill for 3 hours or until firm.
  11. At serving time, unmold pistachio mixture on serving plate. Spoon a small amount of strawberry mixture on top of mold. Garnish mold with chopped pistachios, if desired.
  12. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
