Black Walnut Chocolate Pound Cake

  1. Melt chocolate; set aside.
  2. Cream together the margarine, shortening and sugar.
  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  4. Sift flour with baking powder, salt and cocoa.
  5. (Coat chopped walnuts with a bit of this.)
  6. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
  7. Add flavoring, chocolate and nuts.
  8. Put into a greased and floured tube pan.
  9. Bake at 300u0b0 for 1 hour and about 45 minutes.
  10. Turn out on rack to cool.
  11. This freezes well.
