Grammy'S Strawberry Glazed Pie

  1. Put aside 8 small whole berries for garnish.
  2. Take a handful of berries and squeeze enough into a small saucepan to make 1/2 cup. Leave the rest of berries whole or halved.
  3. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and water with crushed berries.
  4. Bring to boil over medium heat and cook while stirring over low heat for 3 minutes, or until clear and thickened.
  5. Add a drop of red food coloring and butter.
  6. Stir and let cool.
  7. Place berries into cooked pie shell and cover with cooled sauce.
  8. Top with real whipped cream and garnish with a few small whole berries.
  9. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
