Mouthwatering Chinese Pork Chops
- Marinade
- 6 tablespoons dark soy sauce
- 6 tablespoons oyster sauce (Lee Kum Chee is the best brand. I buy mine in bulk at an oriental market)
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons pancake syrup
- 3 tablespoons applesauce or 3 tablespoons apple juice concentrate
- 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
- Meat
- 4 large pork chops or 6 small pork chops
- Combine all ingredients in gallon sized zip-lock bag. Add meat. Marinate overnight.
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Place pork chops in foil-lined baking pan and pour sauce from the bag over them.
- Cover and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil from pan. Turn chops and bake for an additional fifteen minutes to brown.
- Serve over white rice. I save the drippings and pour them over the rice.
