Italian Sausage Spinach Pie
- 1 lb. Italian sausage bulk
- 1 medium onion
- 6 eggs
- 2 (10 oz. each) pkg. frozen spinach
- 4 c. (16 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. heavy cream
- In a skillet, brown sausage and onion until the sausage is done and onion is tender, drain.
- Separate one egg and set aside the yolk.
- In mixing bowl, beat remaining egg white and whole eggs.
- Stir in sausage, onion, spinach, Mozzarella, Ricotta, garlic powder and pepper.
- Line a 10-inch pie plate with bottom pastry.
- Add filling.
- Top with upper crust.
- Seal and flute edges.
- Cut slits in top of crust.
- Combine water with remaining egg yolk.
- Brush over top of crust.
- Cook at 375u0b0 for 50 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let set 10 minutes.
- Serve.
