Texas Braggin' Chili

  1. Saute beef and chopped onion.
  2. Add chili powder and comino seed.
  3. Saute a few minutes.
  4. Don't burn!
  5. Add tomato paste and mix well, then add tomato juice or V-8 to make soupy.
  6. Next, add beans (optional) and bouillon cubes.
  7. Simmer several hours, stirring occasionally.
  8. Heat should be low enough so the mixture bubbles now and then.
  9. Serve with a scoop of rice on top and side dish of crushed jalapeno or red pepper for twang.
  10. The longer you cook it, the better it gets.
  11. Serves 10 normal chili-heads, 6 Texans.
