Chocolate Turtle Pie
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 c. pecan halves
- 1 c. prepared caramel sauce
- 2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Spray a 9 to 10-inch pie pan with vegetable oil.
- In bowl of food processor fitted with steel blade, combine flour, sugar and butter.
- Pulse until mixture comes together in a ball.
- Press into pie pan.
- Prick a few times with a fork and place in oven for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle pecans onto partially cooked pie shell and pour caramel sauce over.
- Return to oven and bake another 15 to 18 minutes or until crust is browned and filling is bubbling.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
- When chips are melted, spread to form a topping. Chill, slice and serve.
- Serves 8.
