Chicken A La King
- 1 (5 oz.) pkg. noodles
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. grated cheese
- 2 c. diced cooked chicken
- 1 c. celery
- 1/4 c. diced green pepper
- 1/4 c. diced pimento
- 1 c. slivered blanched almonds
- buttered bread crumbs
- Cook noodles in boiling salted water.
- Drain.
- Mix soup, milk and salt and heat, stirring constantly.
- Add
- cheese, stir until melted.
- Add
- remaining
- ingredients,
- except
- 1/2
- cup almonds and the crumbs.
- Mix with noodles, put
- intuttered
- 2 quart casserole, top with crumbs and
- remaining almonds.take, uncovered, in hot 400u0b0 oven for about 20 minutes.
- Serves 6.
