Ultimate Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. unsifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 3 c. uncooked oats (not instant)
- 1 c. white chocolate chips
- 1 c. milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 c. hazelnuts, coarsely chopped
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Cream butters with sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Stir flour with baking soda, salt and spices.
- Add to creamed mixture.
- Stir in oats.
- Fold in while and milk chocolate chips and nuts.
- Drop my rounded tablespoons about 2-3-inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 minutes.
- Cool on wire racks.
- Makes 4 dozen.
