Salsa Steak
- 1 1/2 lb. beef round steak cut 1/2 in. thick
- 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 1/2 c. fresh mushrooms
- 1 medium green bell pepper cut in bite size strips
- 1 medium onion, sliced into rings
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
- Trim fat from meat and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cut into 4 to 6 serving size pieces. In a large skillet brown meat in hot oil. Transfer
- to a 2 qt. square baking dish. In same skillet, cook and stir mushrooms, bell peppers
- and onions oven medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes or until tender. Add more oil if needed. Stir in tomato sauce and chili powder. Cook until bubbly. Pour tomato mixture over the meat in the baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to
