Fudgy Bonbons
- 1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts (optional)
- 60 milk chocolate candy kisses, unwrapped
- 1 tsp. shortening or oil
- 1/4 c. butter or oleo
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 oz. white baking chocolate
- Heat oven to 350u0b0.
- Combine chocolate chips and butter in a medium saucepan.
- Cook and stir over very low heat until chips are melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat.
- Add condensed milk; mix well.
- Add flour, nuts and vanilla; mix well.
- Shape 1 tablespoon of dough around each kiss, covering completely.
- Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 6 to 8 minutes. Do not overbake.
- Melt white chocolate and shortening.
- Drizzle over cookies.
- Store in a tightly covered container.
