Chocolate Nut Loaves

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Mix the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
  3. Beat margarine and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Stir in chocolate.
  6. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating after each addition until smooth.
  7. Mix in vanilla and 1 cup nuts.
  8. Pour into 5 greased and floured 5 x 3-inch loaf pans.
  9. Bake for about 50 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
  10. Cool in pans for 10 minutes; sprinkle with powdered sugar.
