Easter Paska

  1. In a large bowl, combine milk, sugar, salt, butter and cool to lukewarm.
  2. Save 2 tablespoons of the eggs and add the rest to the milk mixture.
  3. Crumble yeast in water and let stand for 10 minutes.
  4. Add to mixture.
  5. Add flour about 2 cups at a time until the dough can be handled.
  6. Knead on floured board for 15 minutes. Place dough in greased bowl, grease top and let rise for 1 1/2 hours.
  7. Knead again and let rise a second time for 45 minutes. After second rising, shape into 4 balls (for round breads) or into 4 loaves.
  8. Place in greased pans.
  9. Let rise for 45 minutes. Brush with 2 tablespoons egg.
  10. Bake at 325u0b0
  11. for 1 hour.
