Almond Joy Cake

  1. Mix cake as per directions on package.
  2. Divide batter into two 9 x 13-inch pans (greased and floured).
  3. I use an 11 x 16-inch pan.
  4. Bake 20 minutes at 350u0b0.
  5. While cake is baking, bring to boil 1 cup milk and 1 cup sugar.
  6. Remove from heat and add marshmallows.
  7. Stir until melted.
  8. Add coconut.
  9. Pour over hot cake.
  10. Heat to rapid boil 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup milk and butter.
  11. Remove from heat.
  12. Add chocolate chips and stir until melted.
  13. Pour over hot cake.
  14. Cover with almonds.
  15. I usually mix 1 cup chopped almonds into the chocolate mix.
  16. Can toast almonds also.
