Stripe It Rich Cake

  1. Prepare cake mix as directed on package, baking in a 13 x 9-inch
  2. pan.
  3. Remove
  4. from
  5. oven;
  6. poke
  7. holes at once down through
  8. the
  9. cake
  10. to the pan with a round handle of a wooden spoon.
  11. Only
  12. after
  13. poking
  14. holes,
  15. combine
  16. pudding mix with sugar
  17. in saucepan.
  18. Gradually stir in milk, add butter.
  19. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a full boil. Quickly pour hot pudding evenly over warm cake; into holes to make
  20. the stripes and over the top to "frost" the cake.
  21. Chill at least 2 hours.
  22. Store cake in refrigerator.
