Good As A Restaurant'S Chocolate Mousse Cake
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 2/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. boiling water
- Chocolate Mousse Frosting
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease and flour 3 (8-inch) round baking pans.
- In large bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. With electric mixer at medium speed beat 2 minutes.
- With spoon, stir in boiling water (batter will be thin).
- Pour batter into prepared pans.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
- Cool on wire racks.
- Remove from pans after about 10 minutes and continue cooling on racks.
- Prepare Mousse Frosting and use it to fill and frost cooled cake.
- Refrigerate at least one hour before serving.
