Banana Split Dessert
- 1/2 c. margarine, melted
- 2 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
- 3/4 c. margarine, softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
- 4 medium bananas, sliced
- 1 (9 oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1/2 c. coarsely chopped pecans
- 1 (4 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained
- Combine melted margarine and crumbs with a fork and pat into a 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Beat eggs at high speed for 4 minutes.
- Add sifted powdered sugar and softened margarine to eggs; beat 5 minutes.
- Spread over crumbs.
- Chill 30 minutes.
- Spread pineapple, then sliced bananas.
- Spread whipped topping and sprinkle on pecans.
- Chill 6 hours.
- When ready to serve, garnish with cherries.
