Old Fashioned Jam Cake

  1. Soak raisins in pineapple overnight.
  2. Sift dry ingredients; set aside.
  3. In large bowl, cream butter.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
  5. Add jam and buttermilk; blend well.
  6. Add dry ingredients; mix just until all ingredients are combined. Stir in raisins, pineapple and nuts.
  7. Spread into two greased and floured 9-inch pans.
  8. Bake at 350u0b0 for 50 minutes, or until cake tests done.
  9. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
  10. Cool completely and ice with Caramel Icing.
