Leslie'S Spaghetti Pie
- 8 oz. spaghetti, broken into 2 inch pieces or other pasta
- 2 Tbsp. soft butter
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 chopped green pepper
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 lb. Ricotta cheese
- 12 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- Cook pasta according to package directions and drain.
- In a large bowl mix butter, Parmesan, salt, pepper and egg.
- Add spaghetti and toss to coat well.
- Spread evenly in 13 x 9-inch pan. Brown ground chuck in large saucepan.
- Add onion, pepper and garlic just as meat starts to cook.
- Drain off fat when meat is browned. Stir in spaghetti sauce, sugar and oregano.
- Spread Ricotta over spaghetti layer; top with meat mixture.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle with Mozzarella; bake another 10 minutes.
- Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
