Cheeseburger Pie

  1. Combine ground beef, 1 1/3 cups instant mashed potato flakes, 1 cup milk, egg, ketchup, onion, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.
  2. Spread into 9-inch pie plate.
  3. Cook at Medium-high 6 /12 to 7 1/2 minutes; drain.
  4. Arrange 2 slices cheese on top.
  5. Let stand, loosely covered, 7 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, in medium glass bowl, combine water, butter, remaining milk, salt and pepper. Cook at Medium-high 5 to 6 minutes.
  7. Add remaining instant mashed potato flakes and cheese, diced and stir until potatoes are fluffy.
  8. Spread over "cheeseburger".
  9. Cook at Medium-high 2 to 3 minutes or until heated through.
  10. Yield:
  11. 4 servings.
