Popover Pizza
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1 large onion
- 1 (1 1/2 oz.) envelope spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- Brown beef and onion; drain.
- Stir in sauce mix, tomato sauce and water.
- Simmer 10 minutes.
- Spoon into greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Top with cheese slices.
- Beat eggs, milk and oil until foamy.
- Beat in flour and salt until batter is smooth.
- Pour batter over meat filling; spread to cover completely.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 30 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
- Cut into squares.
- Serve while hot.
- Makes 8 servings.
