Grandma'S Favorite Dog Treats
- 2 beef or chicken bouillon cubes
- 2 c. boiling water
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 c. whole wheat flour
- 2 c. unbleached flour
- 1/2 c. soy flour
- 1/2 c. brewer's yeast
- 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix baking powder, garlic powder, flour, yeast and wheat germ. In another bowl, beat eggs and oil together. Gradually add bouillon and egg mixture to dry ingredients. Add cheese.
- Mix well. Turn out onto a well floured surface and roll 1/4-inch thick. Cut into strips and then into bite size pieces.
- Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes. Turn out onto waxed paper and let harden overnight.
- Store in airtight container in refrigerator or freezer.
