Hawaiian Cake
- 1 (18.5 oz.) pkg. Butter Recipe golden cake mix
- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 2/3 c. milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained and chopped
- 1 (3.4 oz.) pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix
- 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple (in heavy syrup)
- 3 c. frozen, thawed whipped topping or 2 c. whipping cream, whipped
- Preheat oven to 325u0b0. Combine first 4 ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- Beat at low speed of electric mixer until blended. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. Stir in oranges. Pour into 3 greased and floured 9-inch round pans.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool on rack completely. Combine pudding mix and pineapple in large bowl.
- Mix well. Chill. Fold in whipped topping. Spread frosting between layers, sides and top.
- Refrigerate immediately. Store in refrigerator after cutting.
