Pizza Casserole
- 3 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. hot sausage
- 12 slices pepperoni, cut in fourths
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large bell pepper, chopped
- 1 c. fresh sliced mushrooms
- 6 oz. can ripe, pitted olives, sliced in halves
- 12 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese (3 c.)
- 29 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 3 Tbsp. parsley
- 12 oz. pkg. medium egg noodles
- Brown meat; drain excess fat.
- Add onion and bell pepper.
- Add spices, tomato sauce, mushrooms and pepperoni.
- Stir.
- Cover and simmer for 1/2 hour.
- Cook noodles as directed on package.
- Drain noodles; wash with cold water.
- Drain again and add to skillet. Warm, then add 1 cup Mozzarella cheese.
- Warm for 1 minute.
- Pour into 2 (9 x 13-inch) greased baking dishes.
- Divide sliced olives and lay on top of both dishes.
- Cover each with 1 cup Mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake both dishes or freeze 1 unbaked. Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
