Ham And Cheese Brunch Strada
- 12 to 14 thin sliced white bread
- 1 Tbsp. butter/margarine
- 12 oz. thin sliced Mozzarella cheese
- 8 oz. baked or boiled, chopped ham
- 8 large eggs
- 3 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- chopped broccoli (optional)
- 1 Tbsp. Mexican salsa (optional)
- Trim crust from bread.
- Butter large oblong dish.
- Line bottom with 1/2 the bread slices.
- Top with 1/2 cheese, ham (and broccoli).
- Add another layer of each.
- Combine eggs, milk, salt, pepper (salsa is optional) and dry mustard.
- Beat until well blended.
- Pour over bread and cheese.
- Pierce 5 to 6 times.
- Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
- Bake, uncovered, 50 to 55 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Serves 6 to 8 people.
