Low-Fat Lasagna
- 10 uncooked lasagna noodles
- 1 lb. extra lean ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. basil leaves
- 1 tsp. oregano leaves
- 1/2 tsp. fennel seed
- 1/2 tsp. ground anise
- 3 (8 oz.) cans no-salt tomato sauce
- 1 c. low-fat cottage cheese
- 2 egg whites
- 1 c. shredded low-fat Mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- Cook noodles as directed and set aside.
- Heat oven to 350u0b0. Brown ground beef, onions and garlic.
- Drain. Stir in parsley, salt, basil, oregano, fennel seed, anise and tomato sauce. Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
