Christmas Rainbow Poke Cake

  1. Prepare cake
  2. mix
  3. as directed on package.
  4. Pour batter into 2 round pans, 8 or 9 x 1 1/2 inches (do not use pans with removable bottoms).
  5. Bake

  7. directed;
  8. cool
  9. 10
  10. minutes. Remove from pans;
  11. cool
  12. completely.
  13. Place
  14. cake layers, top sides up, back in
  15. the

  17. clean
  18. pans; prick each layer with utility fork at 1/2-inch intervals.
  19. Pour 1 cup of the boiling water over raspberry
  20. flavored
  21. gelatin
  22. in
  23. bowl; stir until gelatin is dissolved.
  24. Spoon raspberry flavored gelatin over 1 layer.
  25. Repeat with lime flavored gelatin.
  26. Refrigerate 3 to 4 hours.
  27. Dip 1 layer in pan into warm water 10 seconds; invert on plate,
  28. gently shaking to loosen.
  29. Remove pan; spread layer with 1
  30. cup
  31. of
  32. the whipped topping.
  33. Remove remaining layer from pan
  34. as
  35. directed; invert
  36. on
  37. first layer.
  38. Remove pan; frost
  39. with
  40. remaining topping.
  41. Refrigerate;
  42. garnish
  43. with flattened gumdrops cut to resemble holly.
