Lite Dilled Round Steak(Serves 4)
- 1 lb. beef round steak, cut 3/4-inch thick
- nonstick cooking spray
- 1 small onion
- 3/4 c. water
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. instant beef bouillon
- 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. dried dill weed
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. cold water
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- Trim fat from meat.
- Cut meat into 4 serving size pieces. Spray a cold large skillet with spray coating or add a little oil. Add meat and brown on medium heat.
- While meat is browning, thinly slice onion.
- Carefully add water, onion, lemon juice, bouillon, garlic salt, dill weed and pepper to skillet.
- Bring to boiling, then reduce heat.
- Cover and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour until meat is tender.
